Winter into summer

I really miss spring and summer.  I know it’s boring to talk about weather but living in Toronto, I can’t help myself.  The past couple weeks have been dreadfully cold.  Thank goodness I have underground access from the subway to home and work, so most days, I don’t need to be outside at all.  And the shopping malls and grocery stores are connected underground through the subway as well.

However, after looking at all the great spring and summer collections, I would do anything to fast track to sunny days filled with ice cream.  Tory Burch is one designer that has caught my eye lately.  Everywhere I look, she is featured.  I recently read about her in Vogue and Very. After reviewing her recent Spring / Summer 2011 collection, I was inspired.

I previously wore this dress last May and had to take it out of my summer clothes bin  after seeing all the orange in Tory’s collection.  This is my way of keeping hope alive for warmer days.

happy new year

This year is going to be a big year for me and I hope to follow through with some of my goals.

The biggest thing I am looking forward to is my wedding with my best friend of over 10 years.

I plan to update this blog at least once a week so here we go.

I got this skirt in April 2010 and it took me a while to hem it.  The skirt was bought at value village for $14.99.  It is from Danier Leather and fits me very well.  I have been dying to wear the skirt.  I got it hemmed and dry cleaned for another $20 but it is totally worth it.

This skirt has become one of my favorite now and I am trying to find every reason possible to wear it.
